MUSKEGON WOMEN OF COLOR

Building Political Capital in Muskegon for Muskegon

WE ARE THE CHANGE WE SEEK

Muskegon Women IN Formation (WIN) is a BIPOC women’s political action committee (PAC) formed in Muskegon County. It was founded in March 2021 by nine (9) local area women who are organizers, activist and change agents in their own right.

In September of 2022 MuskegonWIN also officially formed its 501(c)(3) arm of the organization,

i.e., We now hold two (2) official hats -

     We have a PAC and a Non-Profit.

Muskegon WIN's goals remain the same and are to:

  • Bring women of color (WOC) into the political arena to support individuals and issues that address the social, economic, health, environmental  and educational concerns of our communities.

  • Build the political power of women and push for policies that help strengthen our communities.

  • Become community lobbyist to assist our communities in the development, support and brokerage of political, social and economic alternatives and change needed at the local, state, and federal level.

  • Build political leadership and capital needed to implement those local, state and federal policy alternatives/changes.

  • Educate our community regarding the political process so that our neighbors, family and friends can make informed voting decisions on issues that affect their well-being
